PHP echo string function

Syntax :

void echo (strings);

Description :

PHP echo function will outputs one or more strings. The echo() function can be used with shortcut syntax. Prior to PHP 5.4.0, this syntax only works with the short_open_tag configuration setting enabled.

Parameter :

  • strings – This is Required parameter. It outputs all the strings.

Note : echo() is not a function, it is a language construct. So, its not necessary to use parentheses with it. However if we want to pass multiple parameters with parantheses, then it will generate errors.

echo is slight faster than print function because it return void (nothing).
